Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is this a “Live Seminar”?

No, our courses are now presented as an online class. As the curriculum isn’t presented in a live format, you can enjoy the course at your own pace. You’ll have access to the course for 3 months upon registration. The whole seminar is roughly 3 hours long, but you can watch a little each day, or complete it all at once.

  • Is this online seminar similar to the live seminars that you offer?

Yes, we’ve structured our online curriculum around the topics we’ve discussed previously in our popular live Bloodborne Pathogens and Infection Prevention and Control seminar, and we’ve also built upon this foundation to offer the newest industry best practices as it pertains to COVID-19. Due to the pandemic, all of our live seminars are currently cancelled. We’ve had interest from many artists, asking for an online version of our seminars for some time and we’re happy to make this seminar available online to allow more artists across Canada to have access.

  • I don’t have a reliable computer, can I still access the class on my smart phone?

Yes, our platform allows you to access our course on your mobile devices so you can access us on the go with your phone, tablet or laptop.

  • If I don’t have a printer, how can get a copy of my certificate?

You’ll have the option to download your certificate as a .PDF at the end of the course. Many people will bring the .PDF file to a local printing company, such as Staples. We’re also offering upgraded certificates on our store page. We print on high quality paper, with a gold badge and signature from the course instructor. We’ll then mail the certificate to you within 14 business days.

  • Is there a test within this course?

Instead of one long test at the end of the seminar, we’ve included multiple “quizzes” after each chapter. This will help you retain some of the important information that we’re delivering throughout the seminar.

  • Will this course teach me how to tattoo or pierce?

NO! Please respect the industry if you love it, like we do. Don’t seek out online tattoo or piercing training in order fast track your desire to get into the industry. Find a reputable studio to work at, seek out proper guidance through a mentor, and hopefully you’ll earn a respectful apprenticeship someday.

  • What are the payment options available? What currency?

The prices are all listed in Canadian funds, including tax. We accept PayPal and Stripe payments. Although it is dependent on location. In general, Stripe accepts major cards including: VISA, VISA Debit, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. If you have any issues making a payment, please let us know and we can accept an e-transfer instead.

  • Can I purchase a seminar as a gift for my favourite tattoo artist or piercer?

Yes! You can purchase a "Gift Coupon" that you can pass onto a fellow tattoo artist, piercer, apprentice or counter staff employee. Custom “Gift Coupons” are available on our store page!

I’ve taken similar courses and this one by far takes the cake. It was professional, fun, informative and most importantly I feel like I actually learned something today!

Chuck D.

These instructors do a great job incorporating their real world experience to what can normally be a dry, but essential, subject in a way that makes the presentation really easy and satisfying!

Diane D. Public Health Inspector

This seminar provided a great opportunity for Public Health to learn infection control practices directly related to tattoo and piercing artists. We learned about new products and equipment being used in the industry and took away practical skills such as tattoo/piercing set up and tear down procedures.
